As a child, I would stand at my bedroom window watching the birds to-ing and fro-ing their nest boxes below the windowsill. Eyes tightly shut, I desperately wished to become one of them so that I could fly high over my village and see all the tiny houses and gardens down below. I experience vivid mental images and physical sensations of flying when I stand in high places; leaning into the wind and looking out into the vista. They will never cease to energise my spirit and clear my mind.
